Which equipment company has the most wins this season?
Every week of the PGA Tour season, multiple websites publish their own version of What’s in the Bag (WITB), a listing of the clubs used by that week’s tournament winner.
Club manufacturers then use every means possible to get this info to consumers so that they can factor that variable into their next purchase decision. Not sure why anyone thinks that’s important when the vast majority of amateurs don’t swing anything like tour pros and would have a tough time even making solid contact with some of their equipment.
Other manufacturers whose clubs didn’t win will also spend lots of bytes telling you that their clubs are the most widely used when all players on all tours are combined, or they have earned the most cash to date, or they have the most Top 10s this season.
I’m not sure about you but if I was going to buy a new club based on what some tour player used, I’d want to buy what the winners used and not the club used by the losers. Note: we rarely refer to players that don’t win as losers, rather they finished second, third, Top 10 etc. However, with that in mind, here’s a list of the most successful equipment companies to date on the PGA Tour as measured by wins over the first 26 events:
