Junior Players Tour gets four exemptions into 2026 Junior Dubai Desert Classic

TORONTO, ON: The Junior Players Tour (JPT) is proud to announce that four of its athletes will have the chance to compete in one of the most prestigious junior golf events in the world — the 2026 Junior Dubai Desert Classic, held January 16–18, 2026 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Junior Dubai Desert Classic will feature 64 of the top junior golfers from across the globe in a world-class competition. The event will have a tournament cut after the second round, ensuring the weekend’s play showcases the very best emerging talent in the game.

As part of a new partnership, the JPT has been granted four exclusive exemptions — two for boys and two for girls — into the field. These spots will be awarded based on JPT performance across the 2025 season.

How to Qualify:
Any JPT event played during the 2025 season will serve as a qualifier for the Junior Dubai Desert Classic exemptions. If a player competes in multiple JPT events, their best score/result will be used to determine standings. This gives all JPT competitors multiple opportunities to earn their spot in Dubai.

  • “The Junior Dubai Desert Classic is a truly world-class stage, and for our players to have the chance to compete against the very best juniors in the world is an incredible opportunity,” said Tyler Torrieri, CEO of the Junior Players Tour. “We’re thrilled to offer this pathway and can’t wait to see who will rise to the occasion and represent the JPT in Dubai.”

The JPT looks forward to watching its players battle for these coveted exemptions as the season progresses. The four selected athletes will not only represent the JPT but also Canadian and North American junior golf on one of the most prestigious stages in the sport.
