Myles Creighton of Digby, NS nabs first win on Korn Ferry Tour

WICHITA, KS: Myles Creighton of Digby, N.S., won the Wichita Open on Sunday, for his first win on the Korn Ferry Tour. His winning score of -17 included a hole-in-one during his Friday round and a 59 on Saturday.

He became the 15th player in PGA TOUR history to shoot a sub-60 round and the second of the week. Adrien Dumont de Chassart of Belgium opened with a 59 on Thursday. He closed with a 65 to tie for fifth at 13 under.

Creighton is the second Canadian to win on the Korn Ferry Tour this year, joining Sudarshan Yellamaraju of Mississauga, Ont. Both are now inside the top 20 on the points list, which would secure them a PGA TOUR card at the end of the season.

Stuart Macdonald notched his second top-10 finish of the season, both coming in his last five starts. The Vancouver native shot 68 Sunday to finish at 11 under.
