LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – To support its growing business in Canada, leading golf course and property developer and construction company Landscapes Unlimited has appointed Stu Sheridan and Jon Morrison to its Canadian leadership team.

Stu Sheridan

As Vice President of the company’s Canadian entity, LU Golf & Fields, the Toronto-based Sheridan will capitalize on his nearly two decades in golf to uphold Landscapes Unlimited’s reputation of delivering projects on time, on budget and of the highest quality.

Sheridan was course superintendent at the iconic Capilano Golf and Country Club in West Vancouver, BC, where he successfully executed numerous large-scale capital projects.  The past 12 months, he completed the first two phases of the master plan renovation of the Colt championship links at County Sligo Golf Club in his native Ireland.  Stints at the prestigious Muirfield Village and Bay Hill golf clubs, both hosts to PGA TOUR events, add to Sheridan’s knowledge base.

“I am deeply drawn to Landscapes Unlimited’s exceptional values, commitment to quality, creativity and innovation, and genuine client partnerships,” said Sheridan.  “With excitement, I am honored to further build a Canadian team that reflects Landscapes Unlimited’s proud legacy and bring that same spirit of excellence to every project we undertake.”

Jon Morrison

Based in Kelowna, Morrison assumes the position of Senior Project Manager focused on Western Canada.  With 25 years in golf course construction and golf community building, along with residential and commercial real estate development, he will develop and oversee crews in western Canada to bring golf course projects to life.

“Landscapes Unlimited’s nearly 50-year legacy of high performance, blended with modern state-of-the-art technology and systems, excites me,” said Morrison.  “Quality people, quality projects and quality outcomes align with my career track record and lifelong desire to do what I love through the awesome sport and business of golf.”

“Stu Sheridan has an outstanding and established reputation in the Canadian golf industry while Jon Morrison has extensive boots-on-the ground experience leading golf course construction and development teams,” said Jake Riekstins, Chief Development Officer of Landscapes Unlimited and an Ontario native.  “Their hands-on understanding of golf course operations — from agronomics to project management — is focused squarely on delivering value to our Canadian clients and advances our company presence north of the border.”

Sheridan and Morrison will work closely with Landscapes Unlimited’s Project Development Group that takes projects from ideas and concepts to celebrated venues globally.  This specialized team oversees fully integrated capital strategies, master planning, pre-construction, total project development and a host of solutions for golf courses, state-of-the-art practice facilities, golf entertainment venues, lodging, clubhouses and other amenities.
