Past event champions include Sandra Post, Jessica Shepley, Alena Sharp, Stephanie Sherlock, Rebecca Lee-Bentham, current Team Canada member Katie Cranston, and Grace St. Germain.
Golf Canada, the governing body for golf in Canada, represents more than 270,000 golfers and 1,400 member clubs across the country.
The new schedule will see a number of “elevated must-play” events for top players and some that will struggle to attract any of the big names. The RBC Canadian Open falls in the latter category.
Canadian Corey Conners shot a final round 69 (T5) which puts him in 24th place heading to the Tour Championship at East Lake.
Possessing one of the sweetest swings in golf, Weiskopf was always a perfectionist, perpetually hard on himself but forthright and honest in his comments.
