How well do you know your clubhouses?

Some courses are immediately identified by their unique clubhouses. Think of Augusta National, LA Country Club or Pinehurst. Here are a dozen clubhouses in Southern Ontario that should be well known to local golfers, either for their distinctive look, their gorgeous setting or their history. We’ve added clues in the captions. See if you can identify them all. (Answers at bottom.)

There are 72 holes at this course and it hosts a lot of tournaments.

This club hosted the Canadian Open in 2002 and 2007.

This award winning course was designed by Doug Carrick and is part of the first residential golf community in the GTA.

It’s a bit of a hike from the GTA but well worth the drive. Hint: it’s on Georgian Bay.

A beautiful setting for this clubhouse. Hint: the course is rated Top 10 in Canada.

This venerable club has hosted the Canadian Open six times. Hint: one of its signature holes is called “The Big Chief”.

The 18th hole at this course will take your breath away. Hint: it’s near Parry Sound.

This Muskoka course is on the top of everybody’s Bucket List.

Sam Snead won the Canadian Open here in 1940.

A five time Canadian Open venue, Carl Pettersen won the title here in 2010.

It’s the third oldest golf club in North America.
