Product Review: TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Golf Shoes
For more than a decade, TRUE Linkswear has built its reputation on creating golf shoes that prioritize natural movement and walking comfort. With the launch of the new Antigravity, the Pacific Northwest company is taking its biggest technological leap yet by borrowing innovations from the world of elite distance running.
The Antigravity is the first TRUE golf shoe to feature a Pebax® Superfoam midsole, a material more commonly found in premium marathon racing shoes than on the golf course. Pebax has earned a reputation among runners for delivering exceptional energy return while remaining remarkably lightweight. Compared to traditional EVA foam, the material provides significantly more rebound while reducing overall weight, helping golfers stay fresher over 18 holes.
TRUE didn’t stop with the midsole. The company paired the Pebax foam with a full-length Nylon Speed Board, an internal plate that smooths the walking stride while adding torsional stability during the golf swing. The goal is to create a shoe that feels soft underfoot without sacrificing the stable platform golfers need during impact.
The upper also represents a significant redesign. A recycled ripstop fabric provides lightweight durability while a TPU mudguard adds protection in wet conditions and makes the shoe easier to clean after muddy rounds. The waterproof laminated construction carries a one-year waterproof guarantee, while TRUE’s familiar Neoprene TRUEfit tongue system delivers the sock-like fit that has become one of the brand’s trademarks.
Despite the new technology, TRUE retained many of the design elements that have made its footwear popular with walkers, including the roomy toe box, low-drop platform and versatile spikeless outsole that transitions easily from the golf course to everyday wear.
The market reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Golf media have consistently praised the Antigravity’s comfort, with reviewers highlighting the shoe’s combination of lightweight cushioning and stability.
Consumer demand has been equally impressive. According to TRUE, the initial production run sold out in less than 72 hours, prompting the company to quickly expand the Antigravity lineup with a limited-edition Antigravity+ model.

As manufacturers increasingly look to performance running for inspiration, TRUE Linkswear’s latest release demonstrates that golfers no longer have to choose between comfort and performance—they can expect both in the same shoe.
