On Tuesday, Team Ontario defended their inter-provincial title, securing the Bruce Forbes Trophy for a record 17th time in the 29-year history of the competition.

Past Champions include Jennifer Kirby, Augusta James, and Chloe Currie plus Ontario Golf Hall of Fame members Bob Panasiuk (1955) and Kelly Roberts (1966) .
“That has to be the best round I’ve ever played,” Hovland said. “Given the circumstances — a playoff event, this golf course — the way I played the last holes was pretty special.”
“I’ve always dreamed about this. This is where I started my professional career up here in Canada and I always thought that I’d win up here and here we are,” Duke said, alluding to the seven years he spent up north.
The event has had several notable past champions, including World, Canadian and Ontario Golf Hall of Fame member Marlene Stewart Streit, who captured the title six times.
The Indigenous Ontario Championship is a 54 hole competition open to men and women of all ages. The championship features a Gross division and a Net Stableford division and also recognizes the top junior and senior players.
