The UBC golf team did it again, completing the four-division sweep at the 2022 Canadian University/College Championship, cementing their status as a dynasty in Canadian collegiate golf.
The field includes defending champion Rory McIlroy along with world no. 1 Scottie Scheffler, world no. 3 Cameron Smith, world no. 4 Justin Thomas and world no. 9 Sam Burns.
Weir’s appearance is the third-most in tournament history behind fellow Canadian Golf Hall of Famers George Cumming (32) and Gordon Brydson (30).
“At the end of the day, it was a ham and egg effort, we both did very well and we got the win so we’re both really happy”, said Seymour.
“Dustin has never had any issue with the PGA Tour and is grateful for all it has given him but in the end felt this was too compelling to pass up.”

Burns, 25, started the final round in a tie for 17th place. He said he never looked at a leaderboard. He was seven shots behind Scheffler when he hit his first shot.
At 36, Ji is the oldest South Korean winner in LPGA Tour history. Ranked 83rd in the world, she was seeded 36th in the 64-player field.
