Following is a quick summary of events from various professional tours for Sunday March 23rd.

PGA Tour

At the Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida, Viktor Hovland emerged victorious on Sunday with a one-shot win over Justin Thomas, rallying with three late birdies to secure his seventh PGA Tour title. The tournament featured a tightly contested leaderboard, with nine players sharing the lead at different points during the final round. Corey Conners finished T8 for his third consecutive Top 10while Mackenzie Hughes was T36. The Tour moves to Texas this week for the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

LPGA Tour

The LPGA had a week off but moves onto Chandler, Arizona for the Ford Championship this week. Nelly Korda is the defending champion.

 DP World Tour

Richard Mansell claimed his maiden DP World Tour title at the Porsche Singapore Classic. The tournament was shortened to 54 holes due to weather disruptions, but Mansell’s final-round 66, including a crucial birdie on the 18th hole, secured a one-shot victory over Japan’s Keita Nakajima. Mansell’s perseverance paid off, as he had come close to winning on multiple occasions before this breakthrough. The Tour heads off to New Delhi this week for the Hero Indian Open.

 Asian Tour

Carlos Ortiz of Mexico triumphed at the International Series Macau, finishing at 22-under 258 for a three-shot victory over Patrick Reed. Ortiz’s win marked his second Asian Tour title since joining LIV Golf and earned him a spot in the British Open. The tournament highlighted the growing influence of LIV Golf players on the Asian Tour. Reed and Jason Kokrak also secured spots in the Open Championship for their high finish. Sergio Garcia missed a three-foot putt on the final hole that would have exempted him into the Open had he made it. Richard T. Lee of Toronto was 5th. The Asian Tour is idle until May 1st.

LIV Golf was idle last week and will play its next event at Trump Doral in Miami April 4-6.
